Our Lady and St Michael’s Primary school, Abergavenny

Pupils at Our Lady and St Michael’s fasting during lunch by eating soup.

A special thank you for the pupils from an Our Lady and St Michael Primary School in Abergavenny who went the extra mile for CAFOD and fasted during lunchtimes to raise money to help other people around the world.

Year 6 children had only soup for lunch every Friday during Lent and the younger pupils also took part in the appeal, giving up the chocolate or sweets that they would normally keep in their lunch boxes. The school raised a fantastic £320 for the ‘Give it Up’ appeal during Lent.  An inspiration to us all!
