Thank you and goodbye

Richard Laydon

Richard Laydon, who now leaves CAFOD, after working in the South Wales office for the last 7 years.

After working as the manager for CAFOD South Wales for the last 7 years, Richard Laydon has now left to take up a new position with another charity.  Richard said

“I have really enjoyed meeting so many inspiring people over the past seven years.  These have included our overseas partners and our supporters in Parishes and Schools who through their tireless action, fundraising and prayer make CAFOD’s work possible.

Kieran O’Brien who many of you will already know, will be taking over and I am sure that you will welcome him as he takes up his new role.  I have no doubt that CAFOD will continue to go from strength to strength in the years ahead and that we can continue to transform peoples lives around the world.”

Kieran, who has now started in the new role on mid October, has worked in the CAFOD South Wales office previously in 2007 as the Diocesan Officer, and has worked in CAFOD’s Education section for the past 5 years in several roles including Education volunteer co-ordinator, secondary schools resource co-ordinator as well as on other projects.

“I am delighted to return to work for the South Wales office after being in the Education section for so many years.  I’m looking forward to catching up with all the supporters in the area, and will try my best to get around to as many of you over the next few months to have a quick chat and introduce myself.

Please do feel free to contact me at the office if you have anything left over from Richard’s departure that you want me to follow up, or even just for a quick chat to say ‘Hello’!”
