St Richard Gwyn High School digs deep to help launch CAFOD Lent appeal

DSC07779_cCAFOD South Wales welcomed three students from St Richard Gwyn Catholic High School, Barry into the office for the afternoon to help launch our Lent appeal.

Elinor, Jennifer and Anna ame in with school Chaplain Mrs Price to tell us all about the fantastic work that they do for CAFOD in their school. The three girls, along with nine others, work as pupil chaplains in their high school, encouraging younger pupils to learn about CAFOD and the work they do overseas.

The girls enthusiastically helped us take photographs of them in front of Cardiff Castle, with some fantastic home-made banners, to launch CAFOD’s Dig Deep appeal for Lent.

When we asked them what they were planning to do in the future they told us all about their ‘Chaplain’s Charity Concert for CAFOD with Curry’ which will be on the 3rd April, 6.30-8.30pm at St Richard Gwyn High School. There will be music from around the world as well as a selection of curries. St Illtyd’s Catholic High School will be performing on the night as well so it promises to be an enjoyable evening.

Once again a huge thank you to Elinor, Anna, Jennifer and Mrs Price for their help in launching our Lent appeal.
