St Illtyd’s High School hosted a charity basketball match to raise money for CAFOD.

Year 11 boys challenged the staff to a basketball match which was held during a lunch hour with other pupils invited to come and spectate.

The match was a great success, with all involved having an enjoyable time both playing and spectating. Shaun Williams organised a strong Year 11 side to face the staff team.

There was some excellent individual skill on show during the match in the Year 11 team, but that couldn’t match the experience of the staff team on the day. The staff team went on to win the match, with a final score of 16-8.

St Illtyd’s raised £90.00 on the day and all money will go to CAFOD. Thank you to all who played, spectated and donated money.
