Sue Scanlon, one of CAFOD South Wales’ education volunteers visited the Holy Family R.C. Primary School, Cardiff to give a special assembly and collect a cheque for over £400.

The Holy Family Primary School encouraged its young people to dig deep for the CAFOD Lenten appeal with each class taking part in fundraising events by doing different activities such as selling choc ices, sponsored skipping and fitness circuits and a sponsored Easter Egg hunt. The children had great fun whilst at the same time helping others; living out the school mission statement: “Working together as a family, following in the footsteps of Jesus, always giving our best.”

Sue Scanlon was presented with a cheque for £402.10 during a special assembly that showed the work of CAFOD in action.

Our education volunteers are available to do school visits in South Wales and our gap year volunteer Eleanor is available to come and talk about her experiences in Sierra Leone on the Step into the Gap programme.
