We are looking to recruit a number of new volunteers in join our Education team working in schools across the Archdiocese of Cardiff and the diocese of Menevia.

We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about global justice, who can work with children and young people and are able to travel to schools and parishes in their local area to deliver a short presentation on an aspect of our work.

Don’t worry, you don’t need to be a global expert or a trained teacher!

We offer all our volunteers a full training programme, ongoing support and a wide range of exciting materials and resources to get you up and running.

If you think this might be for you, why not come along for an informal information day on Monday 12 September from 10.30-4 pm (with refreshments) in our Cardiff Volunteer Centre, North Chambers, Castle Arcade, Cardiff CF10 1BX To find out about how CAFOD is working with schools and explore some of the latest resources being used in our work to raise awareness.

No experience necessary.  An enthusiastic, positive attitude is vital. If you decide you want to put your faith into action in this way, then full training will be given.

We are running Education volunteer training days in Menevia for new volunteers:

Day 1 – Thursday 29 September at St Mary’s Collegiate and Parish Church, St Mary’s Square, Swansea SA1 3LP

Day 2 – Monday 7 November at St David’s Priory  Church, St David’s Place, Swansea SA1 3NG

Both days start at 10.30 am with coffee from 10 am and a shared lunch and will finish at around 4 pm at the latest.

Please get in touch on 02920 344882 and speak to our Area Co-ordinator, Therese, if you would like to learn more or email: southwales@cafod.org.uk

You can be sure of a warm welcome to the team.
