Support the Climate Cymru Green Tour!

What’s happening?

Climate Cymru is going on the Climate Cymru Green Tour between the 18th– 26th September! Two electric vehicles will travel around Wales, showcasing projects and telling inspirational stories from communities on the front line of climate change action in Wales.

The Climate Cymru Green Tour will take place during the Great Big Green Week, which is the UK’s biggest call for action on climate change.

Some of the projects we’ll be visiting include a community wind-farm in Neath Port Talbot that is funding local community initiatives, an interview with NFU Cymru’s president on net-zero farming, an innovative 3D ocean farming project in St David’s and the re-emergence of the youth climate strike movement as we transition out of the worst of the pandemic.

Some of the key visits are highlighted on this Map: Climate Cymru Green Tour – Google My Maps

Why are we doing this?

Climate Cymru is gathering voices from all over Wales and making sure they are heard by the people in power. It is the leading Wales-based campaign focused on the UN Climate Summit (COP26), with 190 partner organisations from all sectors of society. It’s an important and worthwhile campaign to represent voices from Wales at COP26, this November in Glasgow.

The voices gathered from all over Wales by Climate Cymru will show decision makers that people from Wales want action on climate change, and will be presented to the Welsh Government at the Senedd in October in the form of an Ice Heart.

We’re encouraging people all ages and all backgrounds from Wales to add their voice and what they want to see politicians doing, and it’s easy to add your voice through the climate.cymru website.

Or just click here.
