Watch what we got up to at the Welsh Assembly recently!
As part of our Climate Campaign Phil has been visiting schools across South Wales and giving talks to the pupils. Recently, he has visited St Mary’s in Bridgend, St Michael’s in Treforest and St Margaret’s in Aberdare.
One of the pupils he spoke to was so inspired that she asked her teacher to pass on the following letter to us:

Congratulation to our star supporter Chris Jones, whose mother-in-law Berenice Williams is a leading member of the CAFOD group at St Helen’s in Caerphilly, for competing in the Velathon that took place here in South Wales on June 14th. Continue reading
After the great success of the conference’s launch last year we again decided to equip students from across Wales to take the lead in their communities and tackle social injustices such as poverty. Sixth Formers from across Wales gathered at Archbishop McGrath Catholic High School in Bridgend for a day on leadership training, looking at how they can unlock their leadership potential to help work for a better and safer world.
On June 17th we, and many supporters from across Wales, headed to Westminster to lobby our MPs on Climate Change. For many of us it was our first opportunity since the General Election to speak to our local MPs on Climate Change leading up to the Paris Conference of Parties (COP) where leaders from around the world will gather to discuss climate change policy.
My first lobby, my first event working with CAFOD, my first time in Parliament and my first time talking to a stranger on the tube!
